  1. i love making lists of things
  2. it probably all started when i was 6 or 7 and i’d write down every word i could think of
  3. yeah, you could say i was a nerd
  4. i love collecting cookbooks with pretty pictures
  5. i hate cooking because it never comes out looking like the pretty pictures in cookbooks
  6. i was once captain of patrols on my school bus
  7. i took ballet classes when i was a kid (for about two weeks)
  8. i also modeled in a few local fashion shows
  9. i don’t do halloween or santa claus so don’t ask my son to go trick or treating or threaten him by saying if he’s not nice santa won’t come visit on Christmas
  10. when i was about 13 i used to dye my hair with kool-aid
  11. i avoided walking in the rain after dyeing my hair with kool-aid when i was 13
  12. i met ll cool j in georgetown once (i chased his car down the street for an autograph)
  13. i hate scary movies, commercials about scary movies and scary things in general
  14. buying note cards is fun. even if you don’t actually send people notes
  15. my first pets were two chameleon lizards
  16. i once had two goldfish and their names were fish and fishette. (i guess i didn’t want to get too attached.)
  17. fish lived for a year
  18. i also had a pet helium balloon once
  19. it floated around the house for weeks
  20. i actually liked school
  21. i would love to go to greece or spain
  22. i have no desire to ever set foot in las vegas
  23. i don’t have a favorite color although for some strange reason i was hooked on pink for about a year
  24. i don’t particularly care for lacey things
  25. i don’t believe in horoscopes
  26. or luck
  27. i do, however, believe in soul mates
  28. i love old school hip-hop
  29. i used to paint liquor bottles
  30. i sold them too
  31. i still have a few if you’re interested
  32. i own a guitar but can’t play
  33. i once had a pretend friend named john-john
  34. john-john was very, very bad
  35. i can type really fast. i’m not sure how fast though
  36. i think whur’s radio personality michael baisden sux
  37. i love reality tv
  38. i think kim porter is absolutely insane for taking puffy-p.diddy-puffster back
  39. i’ve owned four hondas
  40. i like to sing loudly and i’m sure i sound pretty bad
  41. i was in a talented and gifted program in middle school and high school
  42. my last high school report card gpa was 4.0
  43. i studied fashion design in college
  44. realized later i’m just too impatient to be a fashion designer
  45. i like to make flower doodles in office meetings instead of taking notes
  46. i do not like seminars and conferences
  47. or self-help books
  48. unlike a lot of biracial people i don’t have biracial issues (thank you very much)
  49. i was once told i should broaden my horizon and “hang out with more white people“
  50. i thought that was funny considering i was living with my white pop at the time
  51. pudding is gross
  52. so is pie
  53. i like strawberry iced pop-tarts though. especially with burnt edges. (yummy!!)
  54. i got my belly button pierced years ago after breaking up with a boyfriend
  55. it was sign of moving on
  56. about seven years (and a couple of relationships) later we got married
  57. i love tulips
  58. and al pacino movies
  59. i used to write lots of poetry
  60. i once entered a beauty contest
  61. i lost
  62. so did my friends so i didn’t feel bad
  63. i’ve interviewed lots of celebrities including beyonce and destiny’s child, jay-z, 50 cent and queen latifah
  64. i met halle berry once and the legendary luther vandross
  65. i’ve never owned a dog
  66. i loved loved loved my cat kizo
  67. i like spring best
  68. and fall’s pretty cool too
  69. i can’t swim
  70. i used to do a pretty good belly flop though

  73. i got fired from my first job at people’s drug store

  101. the serenity prayer is one of my favorites: God grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change; courage to change the things i can; and wisdom to know the difference.
